WINTERIZATION
Don’t let Freezing temperatures wreak havoc on your irrigation system, pipes, and fittings. Sprinkler systems require winterization also know as blow-outs. Allow us to assist with:
- Turning off the water sources
- Use of high-powered compressor to remove all water from the lines
- Double check valve assembly / backflow preventer
- Inspecting for broken or faulty heads or pipes for repair come spring start-up
- That timer is set to off & power disconnected
SPRING START-UPS
Come spring, we’ll call to set up your spring start-up appointment for your sprinkler systems. Allow Garden Pro to assist this spring. All spring startups includes the following:Β
- Turning on main water sources and re-energizing your sprinkler system
- Perform seasonal adjustments of spray heads, nozzles, and spray heights
- Repair any problems discovered during winterization shut down
- Program the Irrigation controller for spring conditions
- Perform CRD Backflow Preventer Test
SUMMER MAINTENANCE
During the Summer months, sprinkler adjustments may be required to the settings to maximize the efficiency of your system. These adjustments usually include the following:
- Changing run times & frequency to avoid overages and under watering your yard and garden
- Adjusting of sprinkler heads
- Checking for leakages
- Ensuring the system is running properly
Double Check Valve Assembly / Backflow Testing
Don’t forget to book your backflow testing! The CRD requires residential backflow testing to be performed every 3 years for residential backflow preventers to ensure the double check valve assembly is working properly. This will prevent any irrigational system water from back-siphoning into your drinking water.
